Welcome to sixth grade science! I have taught in Oxford since 1999; prior to that I taught in Harbor Beach and Haslett.  While I have taught all the core subjects in grades six through eight, my focus for the last five years has been sixth grade science.  I love teaching and enjoy the energy that children bring to each day!  I strive to use a variety of best teaching practices in order to help ALL students in my classroom be successful.  I plan many activities to get my students excited about the physical world around us.  We will explore the physics of energy, describe the surface and interior of the earth, and discover how living things contribute to each other’s survival.

I have a Master's degree in Curriculum and Teaching, and an Educational Specialist degree in Leadership.  I also serve on several school improvement committees, including our Advisory committee, providing a quality advisory program, and the Olweus Bully Prevention committee, ensuring that all students feel safe and empowered at Oxford Middle School.
