The students learned about the Bill of Rights by playing a game called "Do I Have the Right?" from icivics.org
The student's role in the game is a receptionist at a law firm. They need to listen to client's potential cases and weigh whether there is a potential winning case or not.
If a client has had their rights infringed upon the students send the client to the lawyer with the proper amendment skills to handle their case. Some lawyers at the firm only specialize in certain amendments. If the students make the correct choices they earn points in the game.
By the end of the simulation the students will have reviewed the first ten amendments to the Constitution.
The students found the game to be fun, engaging and great learning experience.
