August 16, OMS: 7th -8th Schedules Live at Noon

Dear Oxford Middle School Families,

Welcome to the 21-22 school year! Thank you for partnering with us to educate your children. We do not take their learning, or their safety, lightly. We appreciate your trust in us, and we appreciate when you reach out to contact us with questions or concerns. I promise that my staff and I will do our very best to serve you and our Wildcats - pandemic or not.

This is the first of many emails that you will receive in the next few weeks from OMS as we prepare for the first day of school and beyond. It's our hope that we are answering all your questions, but if not, please don't hesitate to ask- we are here to support you and our students!

OMS FAMILY NEWSLETTER: ensures you and your middle school students are armed with information about school

Today's newsletter will explain the few updates to the calendar and bell schedule, give you athletic information, scheudule updates, and remind you of the walk thru times next week.Although we will go intodetail with students once they are in school, I encourage families to review the information with their children.

If you plan to come in to school next week (7th & 8th: Monday/Tuesday and 6th: Wednesday), know we are still under construction and there is lots to do before the first day of school. Please stay on sidewalks and avoid areas in the building that are roped off. Thank you!

MEDICATION: steps to take if you would like OMS to handle your child's medication while at school

For the 2021-22 school year, we are asking that parents/guardians drop off any necessary medical forms and medication to the main office the week of August 16th-20th. Office hours are 7:00am – 3:00pm.

If you have a student at OMS with a medical condition that the school needs to be aware of, please click the appropriate link below to print a medical action plan. This plan needs to be completed and signed by a parent/guardian and by the student’s doctor prior to submitting the form to OMS. A new form needs to be completed each school year.

Medication should be placed in a zip lock bag, clearly labeled with the student’s name and grade. Please have the appropriate form accompany the medication. Links to each form can be found below.

If you have questions or concerns, please call 248-969-1804 or email [email protected].

Forms are also located on the Oxford Community Schools' website > For Parents & Students > Documents & Forms >Medical Plan and Medication Forms
