We recognize and share our community's heightened sense of vigilance. We are casting a wide net and utilizing our stringent protocols at all levels in Oxford Schools. As such, many student situations are enacting our threat assessment procedures. Late this afternoon, after-school hours, our central office team became aware of an OK2Say Tip related to a particular concern regarding a student at the middle school.
Our School Resource Officer(SRO) acted swiftly to investigate the concern and has spoken with the parent of the student involved. With the parents’ cooperation, our SRO has secured the situation and our administration will continue to be vigilant with its threat assessment protocol. As always, our priority is to maintain a safe and secure environment at OMS.
