Oxford Middle School

Dear Oxford Middle School Families,

Our Oxford Middle School administration was made aware by a student of an image posted by another student on social media that contained a picture of BB gun.  Additionally, the student who posted the image quickly self-reported it to their parent stating it was accidentally posted. The parent proactively contacted the Oakland County Sherriff’s Department. Our Student Resource Officer was involved in the investigation and the image was confirmed to be a BB gun.  Due to the nature of the image, we have begun threat assessment protocol. Please know there were no threats or statements made with the photo.

We appreciate the quick reporting to administration of the image and continue to encourage our school community to report school safety concerns in a timely manner.
