Dear Oxford Middle School Families,

I wanted to let you know that last night our Oxford Middle School administration was made aware of an OK2Say tip regarding a threat allegedly made by a student. The Oakland County Sherriff’s Office, our School Resource Officer and district administrators promptly began an investigation. It was determined through the sheriff’s investigation the student had no means to carry out the alleged threat and was, therefore, not plausible. The child’s family is working with us and the student is not in school today. Our school staff is following district safety protocols. Due to the Federal Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), we cannot share further details with you.

We appreciate and continue to encourage our school community to report safety concerns to school administrators and OK2Say.
