🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 OMS is incredibly fortunate to have Ms. Seawright as part of the OMS team. She is truly an invaluable asset—not just to the school, but to each and every student she supports. Her dedication goes far beyond the expected, and her compassion and commitment makes a lasting impact on all those that she interacts with. This past year, my son faced some difficult challenges, and Ms. Seawright was there every step of the way. She not only advocated for him with his teachers, but she also took the time to truly get to know him. She created a safe, welcoming space where he felt heard, supported, and understood. Her weekly check-ins have been a lifeline for him, helping him stay on track both academically and emotionally. As a parent, it’s incredibly reassuring to know that someone at school is looking out for your child. Ms. Seawright keeps me informed and reassured—she lets me know how he's doing and reminds me that she’s got him. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 I am so thankful for Mr. Berezney from OMS (and his orchestra program) for helping my girls navigate through the middle school years. He encourages and challenges the students to do their best, offering a multitude of opportunities, even outside of the typical school day (Festival, honors orchestra, fiddle club, string camp, trips, summer meet-ups, outside orchestras/camps, etc.). He has a great balance of pushing the students to show the young musicians their technical capability, but he makes sure "having fun" is still a top priority. He does not expect perfection, but demonstrates how a positive attitude, practice and hard work can pay off in the end. I am constantly amazed at the musical growth of the groups between each concert- and their personal growth because of the friendships fostered and life lessons learned in his class. Having a constant, positive, and inspiring role model throughout those middle school years is/has been a blessing for our family. I also thank him for taking on the additional responsibility of adding a high school class to his schedule this year. Over the last 8 years, our family has benefited from his guidance and teachings and I am so thankful we are part of the Oxford Orchestra family. 🌟 2025 Staff Appreciation Week Shout-Out 🌟 This is our first year having Mr. Tootalian from OMS as our daughter's math teacher, and from the very beginning, he stood out. Before the school year even began, he was already offering math support to students—something that immediately showed his commitment to their success. As the year progressed and our daughter began to struggle with certain concepts, Mr. Tootalian didn’t hesitate to step in. He kept open and consistent communication with both my husband and me, always keeping us informed and involved. More than that, he provided after-school tutoring and went the extra mile to help her grasp challenging material. His support made a meaningful difference in her confidence and progress. I also had the opportunity to observe Mr. Tootalian firsthand during the Washington, D.C. trip. Throughout the entire experience, he remained engaged, vigilant, and communicative. He showed an unwavering sense of responsibility, all while treating students and adults with respect and kindness. His professionalism, patience, and genuine care for his students were evident in every interaction. We are deeply grateful for the dedication Mr. Tootalian brings to his classroom—and beyond.
