Oxford Middle School is celebrating an exciting achievement! The school has been awarded the 2025 STEM Grant from the L&L Educational Foundation which grants $9,000 to launch the school’s ambitious project titled “OMS STEM Lab Reimagined.” The project will transform two unused classrooms into state-of-the-art STEM learning hubs for students in grades 6-8.
The redesigned spaces will integrate robotics, engineering design, physical computing, and data science with art, career exploration, and real-world problem solving. By providing hands-on, inclusive opportunities, the project aims to spark curiosity, strengthen critical thinking, and create meaningful collaboration among students. This work directly supports District Goal 2.3, which focuses on expanding student access to diverse learning pathways and career-ready experiences.
The L&L Educational Foundation, based in Romeo, Michigan, was established in 1987 by the founders of L&L Products, Inc. with a mission to support post-secondary education and career preparation for employee family members. Now in its 38th year of giving, the Foundation continues to invest in educational opportunities that inspire students and empower communities. Each year, the L&L Educational Foundation offers school districts the opportunity to apply for STEM-focused grants that:
Inspire excitement in STEM
Advance and enrich students’ understanding of STEM fields
Provide hands-on learning opportunities
Promote critical thinking, creativity, and teamwork
This grant represents a meaningful step forward for Oxford Middle School, and we are excited to bring this innovative STEM experience to our Wildcats. The future of learning is bright, and we cannot wait to see what our students create, build, and discover.
